The aim of the courses provided by SFA is to enhance the capability developments of local Coaches and Technical Officials:

COACHING COURSE

Singapore Floorball Association has revamped our coaching curriculum to be in line with our major partners, International Floorball Federation (IFF) and Sport Singapore (SportSG). Our coaching courses will be recognised by these two governing bodies, which coaches will be issued certificates from both IFF and SportSG upon completion of course.

National Instructors & Coaches Association (NICA) was formed by the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) to be the collective voice to support freelance coaches and instructors from sports, outdoor learning and adventure, visual and performing arts, fitness and wellness, and enrichment, to strengthen skills, standards and opportunities.

In supporting NICA members with skills deepening programmes such as the courses offer by Singapore Floorball Association (SFA), NICA members enjoy lower course fees through the Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) which provides 50% subsidy of the balance unfunded course fee, up to $250 per calendar year. Till 31 December 2025, NICA members aged 40 years and above will enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per calendar year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fee.

SG-COACH L1 FULL INTEGRATION (FLOORBALL)

COURSE INFORMATION

The SG-Coach L1 Full Integration (Floorball) course will cover THREE main certifications:

1. Foundational Sport Science (FSS)

2. SG-Coach Level 1 (Theory)

3. SG-Coach Level 1 (Technical)

PRE-REQUISITES:

All applicants MUST fulfill the following prerequisites prior to attending the SG-Coach level 1 Full integration Certification course:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

2. Have a current and valid First Aid + AED Certificate for at least 6 months OR registered for a First Aid + AED course within 6 months

More detailed information (i.e. setting up a Sportsync account, accessing the e-learning content) will be provided after the participant has passed the skills competency assessment.

REGISTRATION FEES : 

*Skills Assessment Fees: S$60.00

Course Fee: S$900.00

*Payment must be made upon registration and proof of payment will be required upon submission of the online registration form.

EXEMPTIONS:

Participants are exempted from Skill Assessment

WAIVERS:

(A)Waivers are based on the following: 

Certified in 1/3 Components: 25% Waiver of Course Fee

Certified in 2/3 Components: 50% Waiver of Course Fee

Please provide documentation for verification during registration. Failure to provide verification = NO WAIVER

1. National Institute of Education’s Diploma / Postgraduate Diploma / Degree in Physical Education (MOE Teachers holding these certificates still need to apply for VPS Accreditation from CoachSG)
2. Republic Polytechnic’s Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science (VPS Integrated)*
3. Republic Polytechnic’s Diploma in Sports Coaching (VPS Integrated)*
4. Republic Polytechnic’s Part-Time Diploma in Sports (Coaching) (VPS Integrated)*
5. International Management and Sports College Pte Ltd (IMSC) Diploma in Sports Science and Coaching (DSSC)"
