Job Title: Events Executive / Senior Executive
Organisation: Singapore Floorball Association
Location: Sport Singapore Office
Reports to: General Manager
Job Purpose
The Events Executive/Senior Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events for the Singapore Floorball Association. With an active league calendar throughout the year, the role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. The individual will play a crucial role in ensuring events are well-managed, exciting, and capable of attracting large audiences, helping to elevate the association’s profile.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Event Management
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing sports events, including league matches, community outreach programs, and special events.
- Coordinate event logistics, such as venue bookings, equipment setup, and vendor management.
- Ensure all event activities are in line with the association’s strategic goals.
- Liaise with event participants, volunteers, officials, and partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Track event progress and maintain accurate records of each event for post-event analysis.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the main point of contact for event-related inquiries from the public, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Build relationships with sponsors, partners, and media to maximize event exposure and reach.
- Marketing and Promotions
- Develop and manage marketing campaigns for events, ensuring they reach a broad audience.
- Work closely with the communications team to promote events on social media, the association’s website, and other channels.
- Create engaging content to attract participants and spectators to events.
- Administrative Support
- Assist in maintaining the events calendar, ensuring it is up to date with all planned activities and deadlines.
- Handle simple bookkeeping functions related to event budgets and expenses.
- Provide administrative support for general office duties and event-related tasks.
- Innovation and Growth
- Proactively gather feedback from stakeholders to improve and innovate on event concepts and execution.
- Identify opportunities for new event formats or initiatives to increase engagement.
- Weekend & Flexible Work Hours:
o The nature of the job requires working on weekends and sometimes outside normal office hours during event periods. Candidates must be prepared and willing to commit to this schedule.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Diploma in Sports Management, Events Management, Marketing, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in organizing or managing sports events is an advantage, but fresh graduates with relevant passion and internships are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in a sports association or events agency is a plus.
Skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with event management software is an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative mindset with a focus on improving and enhancing event experiences.
- Ability to manage stress and meet deadlines under pressure.
