TeachSSA Swimming Workshop (Practical) 
Presenter: Coach Developer Roderick Eng & Coach Developer Geraldine Tan
Topic: Stroke Mechanics & Basic Stroke Development Drills (Front crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly) 

This is a 4 hours program over 2 days designed to introduce the four strokes and bio-mechanically sound technique at the pool presented by experienced practitioners through discussion and group practices. You will understand the must-see criteria for each of the strokes and a range of basic stroke development drills working on different aspects of the technique and finally try to put it all together.

We’ll also talk about how you can use these drills to teach proper techniques in swimming effectively. There will be some time allocated to have a look at your own technique. You can expect individual feedback on your areas to improve through the coach developers and peer discussion.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Date: 2 & 4 August 2022 (Tuesday & Thursday)

Time: 7 pm to 9 pm

Location: Toa Payoh Swimming Complex (Teaching Pool)

Day 1: Front crawl, Backstroke

Day 2: Breaststroke, Butterfly

For this practical session in the pool, please be in your swimwear for the session. You are also required to bring along a kickboard and pull buoy for the session.

Participants are required to purchase an entrance ticket into Toa Payoh Swimming Complex for each session. You may use your ActiveSG credits to do so.
