Please note that you are required to have 100% attendance in order to fulfill the course requirements. You will be awarded SG Coach Level 1 (Full Integration) for Swimming upon completion of all requirements of this course.

• All Participants will be required to register as a TeachSSA/CoachSSA Member. (For course tracking purposes)
• Age (18 years and above – according to calendar year)
• Lifesaving Certificate (within 3 years validity)
• Participants must complete the Online Theory Online Module prior to the commencement of face to face SG-Coach Level 1 Full Integration Programme (Swimming)

Course Description:

SG-Coach Level 1 (Full Integration) Swimming Programme

The SG-Coach Programme aims to prepare aspiring coaches with the knowledge and skills of 'how to coach' and guide one to understand 'why you coach' through the introduction of values education and principles in sport within the local ecosystem.

This course aims to equip and train participants to be effective coaches in Swimming.

The SG-Coach Full Integration Level 1 curriculum is designed and delivered in a blended learning approach, consisting of face-to-face classroom/pool sessions, and SSA Assessments.

This course emphasises on reflection and feedback as effective coaching techniques in Singapore. Participants will go through online modules, classroom modules, Assessments, and Practicum Attachments. Assessments and Feedback is given throughout the course to encourage active participation and continual learning.

This SG-Coach Programme is created in partnership with CoachSG and NROC.

You will be awarded Singapore Coach Excellence Programme Swimming Level One (Full Integration) Certificate upon completion of all requirements of this course.

• Hydrodynamics in Swimming
• Swimming Proficiency Assessment
• Coaching Swimming (Mock Assessment)
• In-Course Micro-Coaching Assessment (Upon Completion of all required modules)
• Practicum Attachments with appointed attachment centres
• Final Coaching Assessment (Upon completion of Attachment)
